Page 12 of 13 CRITERIA FOR GRADE 'A' CLASSIFICATIONSquare: Good quality grass, free from weeds and moss (including thatch). Evidence of care and maintenance including repairs, especially on small squares. Level (free from undulation). Outfield: Evidence of care and maintenance. Distinct boundary markings. Sightscreens: Two (plus board if required), clean, good state of repair, easy to move. Changing Rooms: Not cramped, clean. Showers: Minimum of two showers, in working order, available to both teams. Umpire's Room: Not cramped, clean. Scorebox: Box, not a board, showing Total, Wickets, First Innings, Last Man and Overs. Clearly visible from all parts of playing area. Comfortable scoring conditions including weathershield giving full sight of ground for scorers. Overs to reduce. Pavilion: Clean, good state of decoration, seating, bar, kitchen, heating, telephone. First Aid Kit. Toilets: Ladies and Gents, clean and in working order, situated in either changing rooms, pavilion or both or adjacent to pavilion. Equipment: Choice of heavy and light roller, motorised heavy roller, wicket cutters, facilities for cutting outfield, own outfield cutter with grass collection, spiker and scarifier, facilities to water the square. Viewing Facilities: For players in either pavilion or changing rooms. RECOMMENDED CRITERIA FOR GRADE 'A' CLUBS (NOT ESSENTIAL FOR GRADE 'A' STATUS) Car Parking: Room for minimum 20 cars on ground. Adjacent to facilities and maintained. Spectator Seating: For at least 30, clean and repaired. Practice: Maintained facilities available.
