He followed this with 6-33 and with 3-11 from Andy Bradley, Dukinfield were bowled out for 100. Woodhouses stayed on the same number of points as Prestwich with Mike Cassidy starring at Glossop. He took 6-63 as Glossop scored 176 (Perera 45) and then passed 600 runs in scoring 85 (his 40th fifty). Together with an unbeaten 48 from Alan Starmer Woodhouses won by seven wickets. Irlam gave D.S.L. a scare after scoring 200-9d. Pervez Shah (97*) and Mo Afzal (53) put on 116 for Irlam’s sixth wicket. Scott Kirwin scored 76 for the Saints but they were struggling on 185-8 before Jason Bennett hit two sixes at the end to win the game. Denton could score only 153-6d and lost at home to Flowery Field by one wicket. Damien Eyre took 5-68 followed by an unbeaten 20 as Flowery recovered from 138-9 to win the game. Neil Mistry scored 45 and captain Mark Dyson 42 whilst Ghulam Abbas took 6-47 for Denton. Four points at Roe Green for Denton West kept them in fifth place with Robin Morris passing fifty wickets in Roe Green’s 192-9d. Brett Cullen scored 40 and Dave Letven took 3-49. Morris then passed 900 runs in scoring 87 and with 43 from Lee Dale, West won by four wickets (Gareth Williams 4-78). Stand moved up to sixth thanks to overseas player Trent Scott who reached 600 runs and 50 wickets in the game. Firstly he scored 72 in Stand’s 212-9d (A. Graham 4-44) and then took 5-87 as Thornham were bowled out for 190 (Chandi Wathukarage 73). Woodbank remained ninth despite five points at home to Cheetham Hill. Neil Ridehaugh scored 85 to pass 700 runs and with 61 from Sajid Shah and 53 from Dave McCheyne, Woodbank scored 262-7d (Vilas Kutty 4-59). T. Hassan scored 55 for Hill but 5-65 by Shah and 4-49 by Marcus McCheyne bowled them out for 179.
