The Lancashire County League are sad to announce that Peter Cope has died peacefully at home. Peter, 81, was the inaugral President of the LCL and also served for many years on our ground committee.

Many of you will remember him for his work at Prestwich CC where over the years he was a player, captain, Chairman, groundsman and President.

Our condolence's go to his daughter Helen and his son-in-law Bob and family and to all at PCC where he will greatly missed.

Sunday 29th March - Peter's funeral will be held at East Lancashire Crematorium, Greenbank Road (off Ainsworth Road) in Radcliffe on Friday 3rd April 2009 at 10:30am.

Family flowers only please and donations if desired to Bury Hospice.

Prestwich Cricket Club will be open to receive guests after the service.
