Denton West beat hosts Dukinfield by 130 runs to be crowned the 2008 Lancs County League 3rd Eleven Cup Winners.

Denton West all rounder John Barnett took the plaudits with a match winning spell of 5 for 15 which saw the Lancashire County League defeat the Central Lancs by 67 runs at Unsworth CC on Sunday.

Denton St Lawrence extend their lead at the top of Division One after their 17 run win at home to Stand. Cheetham Hill move in to second spot after a 7 wicket home win against Woodhouses while Scott Kirwin's 6 for 59 couldn't stop Denton West losing out at Woodbank by 16 runs.

It's Stand and Roe Green in the Walkden Cup final after they convincingly overcame Denton and Prestwich respectively in rain affected matches.

The following team has been selected to represent the under 18 league side to face the Central Lancashire league on Sunday 13th July at Unsworth Cricket Club.

Midpoint of the season already and career best figures of 8-26 for Phil Kyle handed Prestwich a 41 run win over Dukinfield. Glossop took the honours in the top-of-the-table clash with Cheetham Hill but couldn't make up any ground on leaders DSL who collected four points at Thornham. 

Woodbank record a five wicket win over Denton to lift the Bury side off the bottom of Division One. Zahid Javed's 7-43 helped Stand to a 7 wicket win at Dukinfield while a Shakir Mohammad inspired Thornham notched up a 4 wicket win at Glossop.

Roe Green's Danny Jones cracks 118 as the Worsley side narrowly beat Division One pace-setters, Denton St Lawrence, by 2 runs to set up a home semi-final against Prestwich.
