Sunday's display at a sun drenched Denton West proved the saying 'if your good enough your old enough' as a youthful Lancs County league side ran out 2 wicket winners in a major nail biter against a much more experienced Bolton League outfit.

Peter Walters' 5-85 and 87 with the bat couldn't prevent Prestwich slipping to a 28 run home defeat to Cheetham Hill. Humayun Farhat's 91 followed by 5-58 from Imran Mirza sent Hill level on points with Denton St Lawrence who took a point from their match at Glossop.

Professional Tharanga Lakshikta took 5 for 46 as his Denton St Lawrence side stretched their lead at the top of Division One with a 59 run win over Woodbank. 

The Under 18's League side selected to play against the Bolton League on Sunday 8th June are as follows.

Jack Ritchie's 5-44 helps Stand to a 66 run win over Thornham. The win puts the Whitefield side hot on the heels of local rivals Prestwich who slumped to a 7 wicket defeat at home to a Glossop side out for revenge after last weeks narrow cup loss at the same ground.

Woodbank's Neil Ridehaugh etched his name the Lancashire County League record books last weekend when he achieved a remarkable personal milestone in his cricketing career.
