The following team has been selected to represent the under 18 league side to face the Saddleworth League on Sunday 12th July at Denton West Cricket Club at 1:30pm.

Bank Holiday Monday at a 'sunny' Moorside cricket ground saw boys become men in the cricket sense as the young guns from our league saw off the Saddleworth League to lift the trophy for only the second time since the league's inception back in 94' and following our only other previous success in 2002.

PRESTWICH’S Under 17’s showed their senior sides the way by winning the Greenhalgh Cup. The youngsters grabbed the glory at The Heys last Sunday, overcoming a more experienced Denton team with a superb all-round display.

Denton West all rounder John Barnett took the plaudits with a match winning spell of 5 for 15 which saw the Lancashire County League defeat the Central Lancs by 67 runs at Unsworth CC on Sunday.

Sunday's display at a sun drenched Denton West proved the saying 'if your good enough your old enough' as a youthful Lancs County league side ran out 2 wicket winners in a major nail biter against a much more experienced Bolton League outfit.
