Syed Wasif took 7-61 as Cheetham Hill beat leaders Denton West by 31 runs. Denton St Lawrence also lost out as Glossop's Will Hargreaves collected 7-43 as his side won by 35 runs, bowling the second placed side out for 106.

Bhatiya Perera was the days top runscorer with 83 as Glossop won at Denton by 7 wickets. West continued their championship charge with an 82 run win at Stand while second place Lawrences suffered defeat by six wickets at home to Dukinfield.

A dramatic last ball win puts Denton St Lawrence in the Walkden Cup final as they edged out Prestwich by just two wickets. Woodhouses 220-8 wasn't enough to book their final place as a Scott Kirwin inspired Denton West took the tie by five wickets.

Woodbank's Simon Carr took 4-21 as the Bury side restricted leaders Denton West to 131-8. Chasing a revised target of 91, Ryan Senior's 40 and a 37 from Wayne Griffiths helped their side over the finishing line with 7 wickets to spare and in doing so, inflicted West's first nil-pointer of the season.

Professional Amila Weththasinghe took 7 for 19 as Stand beat Dukinfield by 6 wickets. Prestwich's run chase fell just 5 short at Cheetham Hill as Imran Mirza finished with figures of 7 for 53. Leaders Denton West's 141-4 was enough to get maximum points from Roe Green's visit as the Worsley side were bowled out for 108.

A lot of games hit by the wet weather this weekend but a few clubs managed to sneak in reduced over matches. Leaders West took advantage of the abandonment between Woodbank and Prestwich as they stretched their lead at the top following a four point win at home to Glossop. Denton St Lawrence also moved up a place following their 8 wicket win over near neighbours Denton.

Matt Wake took his personal run count for the weekend to 299 following his 160 in DSL's win over Cheetham Hill today. Humayun Farhat blasted 145 in just 69 balls for Hill but the 2008 champions fell 38 runs short. Dukinfield's Amil Rideegammanagedera was unbeaten on 128 as well as taking 5-64 as his side tied with Denton West which narrowed their lead at the top to just one point following Prestwich's 4 point win at home to Flowery Field.

Scott Kirwin's 6-46 helped Denton West to a narrow 8 run win over Prestwich to take over top spot in Division One from the Heys Road side. Meanwhile, Mohammed Shakir at Thornham blasted 15 sixes during his 161 but his side fell just 3 runs short chasing Flowery Field's 241-8.
