Denton West are crowed division one champions for the fifth time and their first since 2003 following their 167 run win over Woodbank at Windsor Park. DSL's 17 run win at Prestwich wasn't enough to overtake the long time leaders but it did dump the Heys Road side out of the Lancashire Cup places following Cheetham Hill's win over Glossop.

Matt Wake's 101 helped ease Denton St Lawrence to a 9 wicket win over Woodbank at the Kenyons while Glossop move in to the top five following their 2 wicket win at home to Dukinfield.

Stand have won the Hulme Trophy after defeating Woodhouses at Hamilton Road on Sunday. More to follow....

Denton West took the honours in the 2009 Walkden Cup final at Sycamore Park as they overcame Denton St Lawrence by 106 runs. Lee Dale top scored for the Windsor Park team with 123 in a massive 345 for 6 total. Paul Turner's 4-50 and Andy O'Brien's 4-36 helped restrict the home side to 239ao to seal the win.

Some impressive bowling this weekend as Steven Oddy, Ghulum Abbas, Amal Dalugoda, Amila Weththasinghe and Ryan Senior all returned impressive figures. On Sunday, most games started but none finished as the wet weather wrecked the days play.
