Denton West are crowed division one champions for the fifth time and their first since 2003 following their 167 run win over Woodbank at Windsor Park. DSL's 17 run win at Prestwich wasn't enough to overtake the long time leaders but it did dump the Heys Road side out of the Lancashire Cup places following Cheetham Hill's win over Glossop. |

Denton West took the honours in the 2009 Walkden Cup final at Sycamore Park as they overcame Denton St Lawrence by 106 runs. Lee Dale top scored for the Windsor Park team with 123 in a massive 345 for 6 total. Paul Turner's 4-50 and Andy O'Brien's 4-36 helped restrict the home side to 239ao to seal the win. |
